DETAILED TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1: WELCOME – HA NOI 

Morning 

• SOHA GROUP’s vehicle and tour guide will meet you at Noi Bai Airport (for flights arriving between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM). You will then be transferred to your hotel to rest. Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant.

Afternoon  

• Visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest and most revered Buddhist temple in Vietnam. Located on the sacred Quy Peninsula, the pagoda boasts a history spanning 1,500 years, steeped in the legends and lore of West Lake and Truc Bach Lake.
•  Afterwards, explore Ngoc Son Temple, The Huc Bridge, and Hoan Kiem Lake. Witness the 2.1- meter long and 1.2 – meter wide turtle that is on display at Ngoc Son Temple. Finally, visit the Temple of Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam, considered Vietnam’s first university, with its 82 inscribed stone steles commemorating the names of successful scholars.

Evening  

• Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the Old Quarter of Hanoi, take a relaxing walk around Hoan Kiem Lake, and explore the bustling local market for shopping.

DAY 2: HA NOI – BAI DINH – TRANG AN – HA LONG

Morning:

• Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and check out. 
• The group will gather and travel to Ninh Binh. You will offer prayers at Bai Dinh Pagoda, the largest pagoda in Vietnam, which features 500 Arhat statues and Vietnam’s largest bronze Buddha statue, standing 10 meters tall and weighing 100 tons. 

Afternoon:

• Stop for a break, and lunch will be served at a restaurant where you can savor the local specialty of mountain goat meat.

• In the afternoon, head to the dock and board a boat to visit the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site recognized for its cultural and natural values, making Vietnam one of the first 30 countries to be included in the list of mixed World Heritage Sites. 

• Cruise along the winding Sao Khe River, surrounded by rice fields, where limestone formations, valleys, and rivers intertwine, creating a magical and mysterious atmosphere. Visit the Bright Cave, the Dark Cave, and the Wine Making Cave.
• Depart from Ninh Binh and follow National Highway 10 to Halong Bay. 

Evening:

• Upon arrival in Halong Bay, check into your hotel and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. Explore the bustling Halong Night Market, where you can browse unique local products, and take a walk on Bai Chay Bridge, Vietnam’s longest suspension bridge.

DAY 3: HA LONG – YEN TU – HA NOI

Morning:

• Embark on a boat at the dock and explore Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site recognized in 1994. Marvel at the mystical beauty of thousands of limestone islands and intriguing caves, such as Thien Cung Cave and Dau Go Cave. Admire the scenic views of the fishing village, Hon Am (Warm Island), Hon Rua (Turtle Island), Hon Dinh Huong (Incense Peak Island), Hon Cho Da (Stone Dog Island), and Hon Ga Choi (Fighting Cock Island).

Afternoon:

• Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
• Depart for the Yen Tu Buddhist Scenic Area, the birthplace of the Truc Lam Zen school. Visit the Ancestral Pagoda (Vườn Tháp Tổ) and Hoa Yen Pagoda (cable car fees are at your own expense).
• Return to Hanoi by car, stopping in Hai Duong to visit a shop specializing in green bean cake, glutinous rice cake, and other local specialties from Northern Vietnam. 
• Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

Evening:

• Explore the vibrant Hạ Thành Cultural Space, immerse yourself in the energy of street bands, and savor the exquisite cuisine of the Old Quarter, featuring some of Hanoi’s finest culinary delights.

DAY 4: HA NOI – SAPA – FANSIPAN

Morning:

• Board the vehicle and depart for Sapa, known as the “Summer Capital of Northern Vietnam” by the French. Travel along the 245 km Noi Bai – Lao Cai Expressway.  Enjoy the scenic beauty of the Northwest along the way, stopping for breaks and exploring the landscapes.

Afternoon:

• • Have lunch in Sapa.

• In the afternoon, embark on a visit to the Fansipan Tourist Area, featuring the newly inaugurated three-rope cable car system (February 2016). Experience the sensation of soaring through the clouds, enjoying panoramic views of Sapa, Muong Hoa Valley, and Hoang Lien National Park from above. Visit Bao An Pagoda, climb nearly 600 steps, and conquer the “Roof of Indochina” – Fansipan Peak, standing at 3,143 m (cable car fees are at your own expense).

Evening:

DAY 5: SAPA – CAT CAT VILLAGE – LAO CAI – NOI BAI

Morning:

• Enjoy breakfast and depart for a visit to Cat Cat. 
• Embark on a walking tour to explore Cat Cat and Sin Chai villages, inhabited by the H’mong people. In Cat Cat Village, visit the village itself, the Cat Cat Hydropower Station, the Cat Cat Waterfall, and learn about the unique culture and traditions of the local people, including their traditional crafts like weaving, silver carving, blacksmithing, and the custom of “bride-dragging.”

Afternoon:

• Board the vehicle and return to Lao Cai. Rest and have lunch at a local restaurant.
• In the afternoon, visit and shop at Coc Leu Market, and take photos at the Ha Kou Border Gate, where Vietnam meets China.  
• Return to Hanoi, enjoying the magnificent scenery of the Northwest along the way. Have dinner upon arrival in Hanoi.

Evening:

• Your vehicle will transfer you to Noi Bai Airport (for flights departing after 9 PM). Farewell and program completion.
